ReadyForIT
ReadyForIT is a program aimed at the most vulnerable groups, such as NEETs, refugees, and migrants, to introduce them to the IT sector and, possibly, help them find employment in this field. The program was designed and launched by Fondazione Italiana Accenture ETS and is supported by: Fondazione Vodafone Italia, The Human Safety Net, Fondazione Social Venture Giordano Dell’Amore, Accenture Italia, Fondazione Conad ETS, MBE, staffing agencies, tech companies, and in collaboration with UNHCR Italia.

Refugees, ReadyForIT - Labor Pathways for Refugees kicks off, the first project opening the doors to IT employment opportunities in Italy
The 25 refugees, aged 19 to 46, from Burundi, Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, and Sudan, currently hosted in Uganda, have embarked on an online software development training program. With educational or professional backgrounds in IT, they are acquiring both foundational and advanced skills in programming languages such as Java and SQL. Upon passing a final test, they will relocate to Italy under employment contracts in the information technology sector.
