ReadyForIT is a comprehensive program that unfolds in multiple phases. It is aimed at young Italians, refugees, and migrants to introduce them to the IT sector and, possibly, help them find employment in this field.
The program, designed and launched by Fondazione Italiana Accenture ETS, is supported by various partners with different roles and contributions, including Fondazione Vodafone Italia, The Human Safety Net, Fondazione Social Venture Giordano Dell’Amore, Accenture Italia, Fondazione Conad ETS, MBE, staffing agencies, tech companies, and in collaboration with UNHCR Italia.
After a pilot session concluded in June, additional courses in both Italian and English were launched starting in July, with over 850 students trained, including more than 260 refugees.
The 3- and 6-month courses are offered at two levels of increasing complexity and are provided by the best Italian Tech Academies (Academy Rapido, Develhope, and others). Participants can attend the first-level courses for free and, if desired, continue with second-level professional courses, which are accessible through the ISA-Income Share Agreement model.
ReadyForIT+ is the scale-up project of ReadyForIT, launched by Fondazione Italiana Accenture ETS and Fondazione Vodafone Italia, in partnership with both profit and non-profit organizations operating in the fields of digital training and recruitment.
ReadyForIT+, one of the winning projects of the Onlife call promoted by the Fondo per la Repubblica Digitale, provides young people who are not studying or working with free access to short training programs. These programs are designed to help them build or enhance the digital skills most in demand by companies, along with an orientation and support program for job placement.
Young people aged 18 to 34 who are not engaged in educational or work paths can apply to participate in various training courses and gain the skills and certifications necessary to become IT professionals and secure jobs, particularly in cybersecurity and/or programming.
The ReadyForIT+ project includes training courses lasting three or six months, structured in two levels of increasing complexity, which are independent from each other. The courses are delivered remotely, starting from September 2023.
