In FIA, we value your rights to privacy and take great care to protect our Users’ personal data. We want you to feel secure in your interactions with FIA and know that your personal data are in safe hands.

FIA safeguards User’s personal data in compliance with the applicable legislation and FIA’s Data Privacy Policy. FIA furthermore adopts appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect Users’ personal data from unauthorized or unlawful use and/or against accidental loss, alteration, disclosure, damage or access or against accidental unlawful destruction.

What types of personal data does FIA gather and how are they stored?

FIA gathers personal data from its employees, candidates, suppliers and Users of its web sites. In the event that all of the data that we gather are not listed in this Data Privacy Statement, FIA, where required by law, will communicate to data subjects any other data we gather and how those data will be used.

Specifically, the personal data that we gather include the categories of data described in the section: “How we use cookies (and analogous tracking technologies)”
as well as every other category of personal data referenced in this Data Privacy Statement or in other statements you have received from FIA.

Except for the information that we are required by law to gather, your decision to provide your personal data to FIA is voluntary and you will not be subject to any negative or discriminatory consequences in the event you decide to withhold your personal data. However, if you withhold certain information, FIA will not, or may not, be able to fulfill some or all of the goals listed in this Data Privacy Statement and we may be unable to utilize certain tools and systems which require the use of said personal data.

If you provide FIA with the personal data of another person (for example, a potential employee/reference), it is your responsibility to guarantee that said other person is aware of the information contained in this Data Privacy Statement and has consented to sharing his/her personal data with FIA.

The above categories of personal data were obtained either directly from you (for example, when you subscribe to a newsletter) or indirectly through third parties (for example, through our website technology). Such third parties include our partners and suppliers, public authorities, public websites and social media.

 

How we use your personal data and on what legal basis:

FIA utilizes your personal data only where needed for specific purposes. Please see the table below for (i) the purposes for which FIA utilizes Users’ personal data; and (ii) an overview of the legal basis of each purpose.

Where the table states that FIA relies on its legitimate interests for a given purpose, we believe that our legitimate interests are not secondary to Users’ interests, rights and freedoms, given (i) the transparency of our data use policy; (ii) our commitment to data protection starting from the design phase; (iii) the frequency of our data protection upgrades; and (iv) our respect for your data rights during processing. FIA will use your personal data for the abovementioned purposes based on the consent you provided and to the extent said consent is required by law.

FIA will not use your personal data for purposes that are incompatible with the purposes we have communicated to you unless said use is either required or authorized by law or is in your vital interest (for example, in the case of a medical emergency).

Does FIA share your personal data with third parties?

We may share your personal data with our service suppliers, consultants, public and government authorities or to third parties who are, or may be, involved in a transaction with FIA. Said third parties may reside outside Italy. Prior to sharing any of your personal data, we adopt reasonable measures to safeguard your personal data, as required by FIA policy and by law.

Unless communicated otherwise, transfers of personal data within the European Economic Space (EES) to third parties outside the EES are based on decisions of appropriateness and are regulated by standard contract terms and conditions which can be obtained through the contact channels stated below. All other transfers to third parties outside the EES are subject to the mechanisms and standards that regulate international transfers of personal data.

 

What are sensitive data?

As a general principle, FIA does not seek to gather sensitive data. In the rare cases in which FIA may wish to gather sensitive data, FIA will act in compliance with the provisions of law that protect the confidential nature of these data or will expressly ask for your consent.

“Sensitive data” are categories of data which the data privacy legislation requires to be treated in a special manner. In certain circumstances, there is an obligation to request the express consent of the data subject. Examples of these data categories include ethnic or racial origin; political, philosophical, religious or other principle-based opinions; trade union membership; physical or mental health; biometric or genetic information; sexual orientation or lifestyle; or criminal records (including information on suspected criminal activity).

 

What is data security?

FIA has implemented appropriate measures to ensure the physical, technical and organizational security of all personal data in its possession. We use protocols, controls, policies, procedures and guidelines to manage our data security assets that take account of the risks to which personal data is exposed during storage and processing.

In respect of the use of our websites, the nature of the Internet is such that information and personal data may be present with limited or no restrictions on certain networks that interface our information systems without any or appropriate security measures and may be accessible and usable by persons other than those for whom such data was intended.

 

Where will your personal data be stored?

Personal data gathered by FIA may be processed and stored directly by FIA or by third parties in Italy or the EES.

 

For how long will FIA-Fondazione Italiana Accenture ETS store your personal data?

FIA will store your personal data strictly for the length of time necessary and no more. Our data management and storage policies and procedures allow personal data to be cancelled after a reasonable time.

We only store your personal data for the following periods of time:

  • While we have an ongoing active relationship with you, particularly if you own an account on any platform proprietary to FIA
  • While your account is active or for the time needed to provide our services to you
  • For as long as is necessary to comply with our legal and contractual obligations at global level.

 

What rights do you have in respect of our storage of your personal data?

In the circumstances and to the extent defined by law, you have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data stored by FIA. You are authorized to know if we possess personal data that relates to you. If we do, you can obtain information about said personal data and a copy of them.
  • Request that your personal data be modified. You can exercise this right to complete any personal personal data in our possession that relates to you or correct any errors that may exist.
  • Object to the storage of your personal data by FIA. You are entitled to request that FIA cease storing your personal data.
  • Request the cancellation of your personal data. You are authorized to request that FIA cancel your personal data including in cases where said data are no longer necessary for the achieving the originally stated purposes.
  • Request that limitations be imposed on the storage of your personal data. You are entitled to request FIA to store and process your personal data only in certain circumstances and only with your express consent.
  • Request the portability of your personal data. You can exercise this right to receive a logically structured and computer readable copy of the personal data that you supplied to FIA and request FIA to forward said personal data to another Data Processor.

To the extent that storage of your personal data is based on the consent that you have given, you have the right to revoke said consent at any time by contacting the person responsible for data protection at FIA at the following email address: privacy.FIA@fondazioneaccenture.it This right does not prejudice FIA’s right (i) to store personal data that relates to you which FIA received prior to the withdrawal of your consent, or (ii) to continue partial storage on a legal basis other than your consent.

If, despite our serious commitment and best efforts to safeguard your personal data, you believe that your data privacy rights have been violated, we encourage you to urgently contact FIA and/or visit our offices so that we may endeavor to promptly resolve the issue without prejudice to your right to file a complaint directly with the Data Privacy Authority or initiate legal proceedings in a court of law (in your country of residence, in the country where you work, or in the country whose privacy laws you believe have been violated).

Do we include (links to) third party websites and programs?

How do we use the information gathered on our websites?

FIA utilizes personal data for the purposes stated in the section titled “How we use your personal data and on what legal basis?” and to respond to requests for information, process projects submitted online as well as for other purposes that we will describe at the time those personal data are gathered. What are your communication rights?

You can exercise your right to block communications activating the opt-out mechanisms included in FIA emails.
