Welfare, che Impresa!: winners of the eighth edition announced

Milan, September 23, 2024 – The eighth edition of Welfare, What a Business! has successfully concluded, a capacity-building program promoted by the Italian Accenture Foundation ETS in collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo, Snam Foundation ETS, Peppino Vismara Foundation, and Conad Foundation ETS. The program was created with the goal of rewarding social entrepreneurship projects.

After a long evaluation process of the applications – conducted through the digital platform idea360, developed by the Italian Accenture Foundation ETS – on September 19, at the Auditorium of the Intesa Sanpaolo Skyscraper in Turin, a jury composed of all the partner foundations, organizations, and incubators selected four entrepreneurial projects. These projects were assessed based on their ability to generate social impact, promote workplace inclusion, cultural welfare, technological innovation, sustainability, and the ability to combat poverty and inequality.

The selected projects were:

  • Discentis, an innovative startup focused on teaching and empowering educators by offering products and services to improve the academic journey of students.
  • Plurals, a project by Farm Foundation ETS that introduces a new concept of public space, halfway between coworking and business incubators.
  • Più vicini da lontano, an Anako Aps project that aims to use design and creativity to create objects and tools for refugees and crisis-affected populations, which can be directly produced and distributed where needed.
  • iTablet, a web application ecosystem created by Sbrex Srl Società Benefit to support healthcare workers, schools, and families in the inclusion and monitoring of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Each of these projects was awarded a grant of 20,000 euros, funded by Conad Foundation ETS, Snam Foundation ETS, Peppino Vismara Foundation, and the Italian Accenture Foundation ETS; the opportunity to request a subsidized loan of up to 50,000 euros offered by Intesa Sanpaolo; a personalized mentorship program provided by the acceleration programs; and a 50% discount on the purchase of a refurbished hardware product, offered by Techsoup.https://wp-fia.idea360.com/wp-admin/ridaje.com
