Personae: The 3rd edition of the Welfare Accelerator of the CDP Venture Capital National Network is now underway

Personae is an accelerator aimed at promoting startups as catalysts for social innovation, complementing public welfare systems. It supports the development of projects that respond innovatively to current challenges in welfare, such as demographic imbalance, fragmentation of family structures, new relational models, and the growing vulnerability of certain social groups.

The solutions sought must feature accessibility, personalization, flexibility, inclusion, and innovation, and focus on areas such as individual, family, and community well-being, work, and economic welfare. They should offer better access to services, help balance personal and professional life, promote inclusion, and introduce new approaches to relational and social needs.

The selected startups will participate in an intensive 4-month acceleration program focused on growth and market access. The program includes masterclasses, mentorship sessions with industry experts, networking opportunities, and collaboration with Italian investors. Startups will also receive an initial investment of €100,000, with the possibility of securing a follow-on investment of up to €300,000 for high-growth, scalable startups.

The previous edition, which concluded with the Demo Day on June 10, 2024, hosted by Accenture Italia, saw six accelerated startups—Accessibit, Centro DCA, Dermaself, FunniFin, GRLS, and HandySigns—present their projects to a panel of investors, business angels, and stakeholders.

Startups interested in applying for the third edition of the program can submit their applications from July 5 to September 29, 2024, on the website www.personae-accelerator.com.

The call is open to both Italian startups and international startups with Italian founders planning to open a branch in Italy.

The program is part of the National Accelerators Network of CDP Venture Capital, a nationwide network designed to support the growth of young companies in high-potential markets. It was created by CDP Venture Capital Sgr, in collaboration with SocialFare | Center for Social Innovation, and a|cube, with a total budget of €6.1 million. Personae also involves co-investors SocialFare Seed, a|impact – Avanzi Etica SICAF EuVECA, and Fondazione Italiana Accenture ETS, and receives support from the main partners Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Cuneo, and Fondazione Social Venture Giordano dell’Amore.
