InvesTO sul territorio: winners announced for the first edition of the initiative supporting and funding new social entrepreneurship projects

Turin, October 21, 2024 – LabAut, SolCare, BoosTER, and Green Hub – Serra Sociale Integrata are the four winning ideas of the first edition of InvesTO sul territorio, an initiative merging finance and philanthropy to support and fund innovative social entrepreneurship projects. These initiatives aim to create positive economic, social, and environmental impacts in the Metropolitan City of Turin.

The selected projects featured a multisectoral approach, addressing social inclusion, territorial development, depopulation, and poverty reduction. They brought together various stakeholders, geographic areas, and sectors, with a focus on economic sustainability, territorial regeneration through social and environmental activities, and transforming spaces into meaningful places.

Winning Projects

  • Dalla Stessa Parte Scs – “LabAut”
    A laboratory for production processes aimed at individuals with autism, supporting their social and professional integration in the Lanzo Valleys.
  • Gruppo Arco Scs – “SolCare”
    A project facilitating skin cancer screening access for all Turin residents, with a focus on vulnerable groups.
  • LiberiTutti Factory Srl Impresa Sociale – “BoosTER – Agenzia di sviluppo territoriale”
    The creation of a territorial and digital ecosystem in the Lanzo Valleys to combat depopulation and boost economic activities, especially for women and young people.
  • Limen Società Agricola Sociale – “Green Hub – Serra Sociale Integrata”
    An aeroponic greenhouse in Cascina Falchera, Turin, producing local fruit and vegetables, fostering employment and inclusion, and promoting environmental sustainability.

Each winner received a €30,000 grant from Fondazione Sviluppo e Crescita CRT, along with the opportunity to access zero-interest Impact Financing from UniCredit for up to €110,000. Additionally, a success-based incentive of up to €5,000 will be awarded upon achieving the social objectives of each project, following a pay-for-success model.

The “BoosTER” project also won a special €5,000 award for being the most innovative initiative, ensuring scalability and replicability in terms of quality and the number of beneficiaries. This award was provided by Fondazione Italiana Accenture ETS.

Capacity-Building Support

Winners will receive training and technical support from Human Foundation to evaluate and report the social impact of their activities, with contributions from Fondazione Sviluppo e Crescita CRT.

It was supported by the scientific expertise of AICCON Research Center and Human Foundation, and in partnership with Confcooperative Piemonte Nord, Legacoop Piemonte, AGCI Piemonte, and the Forum del Terzo Settore in Piemonte.
