Creating Synergies between Complementary Education and Labour pathways

The event was organized as part of the  EU-Passworld project, funded by the European Union’s Asylum and Migration and Integration Fund. The project aims to design and test new education and employment pathways to Belgium, Ireland, and Italy, involving host communities to support the reception and integration of displaced students and workers.

The roundtable brought together various stakeholders involved in the design and implementation of complementary education and employment pathways. Participants shared lessons learned from the implementation of the EU-Passworld project and explored ways to create synergies between employment and education pathways. Together, they reflected on challenges and opportunities and identified best practices for creating synergies in both first asylum countries and destination countries. The event highlighted various policy and program design frameworks from different countries, emphasizing collaboration among actors in education and employment pathways and showcasing the diversity of stakeholders involved.

Simona Torre, General Director of Fondazione Italiana Accenture ETS, participated in the panel Building Synergies in Countries of Asylum.

“Fondazione Italiana Accenture ETS has joined with interest and played an active role in testing the Labor Corridors in Italy, led by UNHCR and TBB, aimed at legally welcoming young refugees with professional skills in the IT sector into our country.

Accenture Italy is among the companies that have decided to actively engage on this front, offering them employment contracts and thus taking on the challenge and opportunity to carry out an innovative and concrete D&I action.
